I am sitting in a government building waiting for an appointment and noticed something interesting. Most the women walking through here are walking with their heads down. On further investigation, these are women who work in support positions. The few women who walk with their heads up are in authority or leadership roles. This got me thinking that many people are so beat down by circumstances that it shows in their behavior. Heads held low usually means defeat, a broken spirit, and just plain "give up" mentality. As someone once said, If you can look up, you can get up." So ladies hold your heads up so you can think up and get up out of whatever mess/circumstance/situation you are in. Just because you are there right now doesn't mean you have to stay there. Rewrite the script.
